Organic free range eggs is a search that packs three different ideas into one line. On an egg label in India, organic, free-range and desi do not mean the same thing, and none of them is a date the eggs were collected. Growee Farms sells the eggs on its free-range egg page as free-range: hens on open ground at the Punjab farm, not in battery cages. Organic is a descriptor for these eggs. That page does not show an organic certificate or seal, and Growee does not name a desi breed.
Three egg labels, three questions
People looking for organic eggs, free range eggs, or desi eggs are often trying to buy a better carton than the cheapest tray in the shop. The words on the carton still answer different questions:
- Organic speaks to feed and farming inputs. It does not, by itself, tell you the hens go outside.
- Free-range speaks to housing: outdoor access, rather than a cage. It does not, by itself, tell you the feed is organic.
- Desi is a market word buyers in India use for eggs they associate with backyard or indigenous hens. It is not a certificate, and it does not name a breed unless the seller names one.
Farm fresh eggs is a separate phrase again. It speaks to a short path from collection to kitchen. It does not prove feed, housing or breed. If you searched farm fresh eggs because you want a delivery day and a pack price, that decision sits on the egg page, not in the label.
What each label fails to prove

Egg labels that stack all three words, and then refuse the questions in the last column, are using the words as decoration.
What Growee claims
These points match the public site on 30 September 2026.
What the egg page says
- The eggs are free-range eggs.
- The hens walk, scratch and forage on open ground, with a protected laying area. They are not kept in battery cages.
- The photographs show the actual flock and its living area.
- Eggs are collected on the Punjab farm. The page says they are collected daily.
- Packs that day: 12 eggs at ₹300 and a 25-egg tray at ₹550. The page says prices include taxes.
- Routes run Wednesday and Sunday. The next slot and the delivery charge for your pincode are shown on the egg page. Delivery is not free on every order.
- Orders are prepaid, with UPI, card or NetBanking.
The boundaries around those words
- Organic is a descriptor. The current egg page title is "Free-range Eggs". It does not present an organic certificate or a seal, and it does not name a certifier. An older egg address on the site still carries the title "Buy Free Range Organic Eggs Online | Farm Fresh Delivery". That title uses the word organic as a description of the eggs. It also does not show a seal or name a certifier.
- Desi, anda and ande may be used for these eggs. That is identity language for the eggs Growee sells. It is not a named breed.
- Pasture-raised is not a claim Growee makes for this product. How buyers usually meet that label is covered in the pasture-raised eggs guide. Read that guide as education about the word. Do not read it as a Growee pasture-raised offer.
- Cage-free is a narrower housing word than free-range. Hens can be out of cages and still indoors. That difference is the subject of the cage-free egg farms guide.
